With a self-indulgent Tory budget and flooding across Scotland, October has been a monstrous month.

What we’ve been doing
👥 Lots of us met up ‘in real life’ and attended the Scottish Green Party Autumn Conference at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh!

Our Climate Campaign Officer + COP26 Working Group have been busy planning a host of amazing events for everyone to get involved with. Even if you can't make it to Glasgow, don't worry! 🌿 Lothian Young Greens could be voted into existence at the upcoming Edinburgh Young Greens AGM on Sunday 7th November

🌱 Mid-Scotland, Fife & Central Young Greens are having their launch event online, on Wednesday 25th November

🚽 Urine Luck! A wee victory for renewable energy?
Whilst cleaning wastewater, a team of South Korean scientists have perfected pee-powered fuel cells that can purify wastewater and produce clean energy. Direct Urea Fuel Cells might see treatment plants turn into power stations. Read all about it here.
🚫 Spooky Sausage Rolls
Did you know that, until as late as 1957, it was illegal to eat sausage rolls on Halloween? The Witchcraft Act of 1735 forbid the consumption of pork pastries on All Hallows Eve. We don’t know why, but we know it… so whether you’re having sausage rolls or sweeties, we hope it’s spooktacular!

Our Communications Working Group have been brainstorming and will be releasing our very own podcast! Keep your eyes peeled for the first episode hitting social media soon... And that’s the tea!
